| MAIN EVENT | The big event! After reading some very helpful comments from last year’s location, we’ve moved it 20 feet to the left! We want everyone in this community to feel welcome and comfortable, navigating the fun festivities. It will be in the Becker Furniture World parking lot. See the map on the Becker Freedom Days Facebook page for an idea of what’s in store. A new feature this year, that we’re very excited about, is RETAIL ROW! These are vendors from the area. Some you might see at the farmers market the day before and some will be new. Everything from candles and baked goods to handcrafted décor and much more! Another change this year is the takeover of the game zone by Becker’s very own DECA group. This is a business group, made up of students from Becker High School that will not only use their skills and knowledge of business and marketing, but also tap into their creative side and develop games your kids will love! The students, led by Becker High School teacher Josh Otto, will also brainstorm on using some of the money made that day to better our community. We have incredible local dance group performances, incredible food options, raffle tent, bounce zone, plenty of shade and seating and of course live music! A list of our delicious sweet and savory food vendors will be posted soon! Grab a drink from the bar, hosted by the Becker Lions and dance until 10 p.m. Our live entertainment this year from 2-5:30 p.m. is NTE Entertainment followed by the AWESOME Radio Nation! They play your favorites – Rock/Country/Pop hits that will have everyone singing and saying, “I love this song!” Right before the fireworks at 10 p.m., we’ll have an adorable surprise for our freedom days crowd. Parking will be on the green space. We want to say a huge, “THANK YOU!” to Becker Furniture World for the generous use of their property throughout the week of freedom days. |
